Almond Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup (100 g) almond flour
1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (200 g) sugar
1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
3 large eggs
1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract (optional, for stronger flavor)
2 teaspoons baking powder
A pinch of salt
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a round 9-inch (23 cm) cake pan.
Mix the dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cream the butter and sugar: In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
Add the eggs: Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Add flavorings: Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
Combine the mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and serve: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
Optional Toppings:
Sliced almonds on top before baking for extra crunch.
A drizzle of honey or almond glaze after baking.
